Diskursus Tafsir Esoteris dalam al-Qur’an

Abstract
Hadis yang menyatakan bahwa al-Qur’an memiliki dimensi makna eksoteris, zâhir dan esoteris, bâtin secara historis telah berimplikasi pada keniscayaan penafsiran esoteris terhadap al-Qur’an, terutama oleh dan bagi para sufi. Namun eksistensi penafsiran ini beragam, baik dilihat dari sisi epistemologis dan metodologis. Sehingga dirasa penting bagi peneliti untuk membahas diskursus makna esoteris dalam tafsir al-Qur’an dari landasan historis, metodologis dan taksonominya serta perdebatan tentang boleh atau tidaknya penafsiran yang berpegang pada makna ini. Dengan penelitian kepustakaan serta pendekatan historis peneliti ini berkesimpulan 1) Tafsir esoteris memiliki legitimasi historis masa Rasulullah saw dan teologis dari al-Qur’an dan Sunnah; 2) Tafsir esoteris haruslah didasarkan pada makna literalitas, tekstual ayat; 3) Tafsir esoteris yang karena sumbernya adalah wijdâniyyah individu seorang sufi, maka hasil penafsirannya bukanlah kewajiban yang harus diamalkan oleh orang lain.
